ProSight automates portfolio management processes allowing executives and managers to manage their business and technology investments like a portfolio, and enabling teams to choose and execute upon those activities that provide the greatest return to the business. This browser-based application requires no code on the client and provides the means to make quick, well-reasoned decisions regarding myriad investments within a climate of limited resources. The software provides interactive capabilities that facilitate collaboration and management of portfolios both vertically and horizontally within the organization, depending upon the needs and motivations of the user.
My ProSight
My ProSight provides customizable workflows that guide step-by-step execution of a particular process, such as building a business case to add a proposed project to the project portfolio, categorizing an application undergoing application rationalization, or analyzing the impact of an investment on governance. This is the foundation of ProSight’s process-driven portfolio management approach.

Investor Maps
Investor Maps are the strategic center of ProSight. They provide a visual portrayal of the investment strategy using a flexible tool for analyzing key performance data according to strategic goals. Investor maps also enable users to view business activities in terms of risk, investment type, budget, or other criteria, and to drill down for more detailed investment information. Investor maps also provide a “What If” capability to plan and align investments to determine the optimal portfolio mix.

Scorecards
Scorecards are an interactive way to manage investment performance through the use of categories that measure various attributes such as business value, risk, budget, service level agreements and more. They also provide an early warning system that indicates when a specific category falls outside of the predetermined acceptable level of performance.
Scorecards include a variety of features that enable you to gain instant and easy access to all the tactical and operational information regarding your company’s business activities. For example, portfolios and investments are combined in a table format, providing an at-a-glance view of the performance of investments and categories, as well as in-depth information and the ability to navigate to other parts of ProSight, such as workbooks or dashboards. Quickly assess an entire portfolio and easily spot areas in trouble, and easily update values of multiple investments.

Forms
Forms are intuitive data management screens, which provide a simple mean to create and manage data capture and review. Your teams may create common forms, document processes, and establish business cases directly within ProSight to easily replicate the paper and Web forms you use today. You’ll get faster data collection and more intuitive information retrieval across departments and systems without the hassle and learning curve.
Forms are completely configurable to ensure you have an easy-to-use way to enter portfolio data. You’ll use prompts (labels), annotations, and drop-down lists to provide clarity and instruction to aid in data entry. Group together related information on the Form to make the data entry process logical.
Forms serve other purposes for the organization as well. For example, in addition to data entry of investment information, use forms to publish status reports, track expenses, or create check lists. Easily design forms that look exactly like the data entry screens and documents you use today, allowing for an easy transition to ProSight for your users. Unlike Scorecards and Investor Maps, which display multiple investments along with a few categories of information, Forms focus on a single investment and allow for displaying and updating many categories at a time.
Because Forms are essential to evaluating individual investments, ProSight provides drill-down capability to Forms from other views. For example, if an Investor Map shows a red health indicator for an investment, drill down to show the Form with complete investment details and to update the health status. Forms also enable you to enter and organize all of the information regarding the business activities of your company.

Workbooks
Workbooks are the primary source for information about each investment in ProSight. They enable managers and team members to manage investment information and annotations for specific investments. This information can be easily updated for on-demand status reports that consistently communicate an investment’s progress because information is accessible in one place.

Workbooks establish an investment lifecycle for each investment, and track the performance of that investment through its lifecycle. For small projects, it is often sufficient to plan and track projects at the high level of lifecycle phases, requiring little overhead on the team to maintain. Documents, deliverables, to-dos, and much more can also be tracked directly in ProSight. For more project management functionality, Primavera ProSight provides an off-the-shelf integration with Primavera P6. Custom integrations with other project management tools can be developed using ProSight’s Web Services APIs.
Dashboards
Dashboards are a collection of graphs that provide a comprehensive view of selected performance criteria trends for a specific investment. Historical trends provide exceptional insight into the life of an initiative. Color-coded bands can quickly highlight when an investment has moved out of the acceptable range of performance. Dashboards are as flexible as the other capabilities and enable users to add and remove graphs and choose between pie, bar, line, and scatter charts.
